Probably still not many people know that I'm currently working as a part-time Mandarin teacher at a Chinese school. In case you want to know, is Hai Hwa Overseas Chinese School.
Quote from the website:
We are an educational entity of the Hai-Haw Foundation, which specializes in mathematics and linguistics courses, along with an emphasis on Chinese cultural arts and appreciation.
The Dallas Overseas Chinese School was founded in 1994 on the principle of teaching with genuine understanding and patience. We focus on building aptitude for acquiring new information and learning new skills. After all, first learners excel in TAKS and PSAT/SAT tests, and become more successful in future endeavors.
Feel free to click on this link to found out more!Everytime I start hunting for a new job, is the job position that matters more to me. There is no point to work on a job if you are not passionate about it!!!
This Fall was my first semester teaching in this school. Previous experience as a high school tutor helps a bunch. I teach kindergarten Pinyin, my students range from age 5 to 8. I would say I'm babysitting instead of teaching and require tones of patience!!! Nevertheless, the kids do learned a lot in one semester.

I feel so proud that my years of learning Mandarin is actually useful!
Plus, I'm spreading this amazing language in this Western country.
A Malaysian like me can speak and write and read well in Mandarin too !!!!
The school teachers, principle and Chairman all thought that I'm from China judging from the way I talk.....
Last Sunday was the last day of this semester. Students had a year-end performance.
I get some small presents too ^^

Cute gift from one of my student, Caroline.

Peppermint and almond soap~~ that's new for me.

Ball-like owl. CUTE!!! Oh, great for decoration~
Or you can stare into its eyes when you are bored.

Pretty red glittered candle from Ava.

It serves as a Christmas decoration now =D
I really wish to see more students in Hai Hwa Chinese School, spreading the language and culture to more people in this part of the world.
Hope to see new faces next semester!
